Metabolomics Society Early Career Prize and Travel Awards Scheme
The Metabolomics Society Early Career Awards recognize outstanding academic achievement.
Early career researchers* can apply for one of ten Metabolomics Society Early Career Travel Awards to support their attendance at the Metabolomics Society annual conference. If successful they are then eligible to compete for the Metabolomics Society Early Career Prize, awarded to the best early career presentation.

*Eligibility, applicants must be:

  • Within 5 years of obtaining highest degree.
  • A member of the Metabolomics Society continuously for at least 3 months prior to the conference. Must be a member by April 14, when oral abstracts are due.
  • Registered for the conference and attend in person.
  • Not eligible for the Metabolomics Society Student Travel Awards

Student and Early Career abstracts that are submitted for travel awards will be reviewed by the Conference and Training Committee. The deadline to apply for a Travel Award is April 14, when oral abstract submissions are due.

Students* can apply for one of ten Metabolomics Society Student Travel Awards to support their attendance at the Metabolomics Society annual conference. If successful they are then eligible to compete for the Metabolomics Society Student Prize, awarded to the best student presentation.

*Eligibility, applicants must be:

  • A Student member of the Metabolomics Society continuously for at least 3 months prior to the conference. Must be a member by April 14, when oral abstracts are due.
  • Registered for the conference and attend in person.

Student and Early Career abstracts that are submitted for travel awards will be reviewed by the Conference and Training Committee. The deadline to apply for a Travel Award is April 14, when oral abstract submissions are due.

 

MANA
The Metabolomics Association of North America Student and Early Career Travel Award

Students and Early Career Researchers* can apply for a $500 Travel Award provided by the Metabolomics Association of North America to support their attendance at the Metabolomics Society annual conference.

Eligibility, applicants must be:

  • *Within 10 years of obtaining highest degree (for Early Career Researchers).
  • Applicants need to work as researcher in North America: USA, Canada or Mexico
  • Attend the conference in person and present the awarded abstract.
  • Student and Early Career abstracts that are submitted for travel awards will be reviewed by the Conference and Training Committee. The deadline to apply for a Travel Award is April 14, when oral abstract submissions are due.

The Metabolomics Profiling Forum Student and Early Career Travel Awards
Students and Early Career Researchers* can apply for two $500 Travel Award provided by the Metabolomics Profiling Forum to support their attendance at the Metabolomics Society annual conference.

Eligibility, applicants must be:

  • *Within 5 years of obtaining highest degree (for Early Career Researchers).
  • Applicants need to work as researcher in the UK or Ireland.
  • Attend the conference in person and present the awarded abstract.
  • Student and Early Career abstracts that are submitted for travel awards will be reviewed by the Conference and Training Committee. The deadline to apply for a Travel Award is April 14, when oral abstract submissions are due.

 

Netherlands Metabolomics Centre 

The Netherlands Metabolomics Centre Student and Early Career Travel Award
Students and Early Career Researchers* can apply for one of five $500 Travel Awards provided by the Netherlands Metabolomics Centre to support their attendance at the Metabolomics Society annual conference.

Eligibility, applicants must be:

  • *Within 5 years of obtaining highest degree (for Early Career Researchers).
  • Registered to attend the conference by April 19.
  • Attend the conference in person and present the awarded abstract.
  • Student and Early Career abstracts that are submitted for travel awards will be reviewed by the Conference and Training Committee. The deadline to apply for a Travel Award is April 14, when oral abstract submissions are due.

The Nordic Metabolomics Society Student and Early Career Travel Awards
Students and Early Career Researchers* can apply for one of the two $500 Travel Awards provided by the Nordic Metabolomics Society to support their attendance at the Metabolomics Society annual conference.
Eligibility, applicants must be:

  • *Within 5 years of obtaining highest degree (for Early Career Researchers)
  • Applicants need to work as researcher in Denmark, Sweden, Norway, Finland or Iceland
  • Registered to attend the conference by April 19
  • Attend the conference in person and present the awarded abstract.
  • Student and Early Career abstracts that are submitted for travel awards will be reviewed by the Conference and Training Committee. Abstracts received by April 14 will be eligible for a Travel Award.

 

RFMF

The French Reseau Francophone de Metabolique et Fluxonomique (RFMF) Student and Early Career Travel Awards
Students and Early Career Researchers * can apply for one of the six (up to EUR 500) Travel Awards provided the the RFMF to support the participation of French speaking researchers in (amongst others) the Metabolomics Society annual conference.
Eligibility, applicants must be:

  • A student, or researcher or non-permanent scientific and technical staff under 35 years of age and must work in the field of metabolomics or fluxomics.
  • Attend the conference in person and present the awarded abstract.
  • Be up to date with your RFMF affiliation.
  • Deadline for applications is April 22. Travel grants will be selected and awarded by the RFMF directly.

Metabolomics Society

Calling Student Photographers!
Two (2) Student Photographers are needed to document the sessions and capture the atmosphere of the meeting. If you have experience with photography, and you would be interested in this opportunity, we welcome your application. Photographers must have their own equipment and supplies. The two selected photographers will each receive a $500 USD Travel Award.

  • Name.
  • Student Status and School.
  • Equipment – a list of the equipment that you would use, type of camera, etc.
  • Availability – are you able to attend all 4.5 days of the event?
  • Experience – a brief summary of your photography experience.

If selected, you will be able to coordinate with the other photographer to create an even mix of photography time and session participation. Applications must be received by April 14.

Metabolomics Society – EMN Travel Bursary 2019
The Early-career Members Network of the Metabolomics Society Travel Grant aims at providing support to Early-Career scientists* to attend and actively participate in national and international events related to the metabolomics field that will promote their professional development.

Eligible applicants must be:

  • A member of the Metabolomics Society; and
  • Within 5 years of obtaining their highest degree.
